AC27 Accessories issue with AUS 5003 update 27.2.0

I'm having an issue with the current update. When applying the roof accessory to roof planes it all applies fine:

Yet when I update said accessories with a favorite setting from my favorites list, the accessories completely disassociate from the roof plane and assume the default shape:

This has only started happening with the current hotfix 27.2.0 for AC27. Any ideas?

I have never used favorites with already placed accessory object, but I just tried in version 25 and it seemed to work fine.

Object changed but it retained the associativity with the roof.

Thought I should try in 27 (build 5003) and it crashed.

Tried again and it didn't crash but it did reset back to default size.

It seems it is now losing the associativity with the roof surface, which is why it is resetting to default sizes.

Why that is i do not know.

This would be an issue to report to your local Archicad support to see what they say.

All I can suggest is to select all of the objects and manually make the parameter changes, rather than applying a favourite.

Hi Mark,

I was having issues with the Acessories too. Not sure if it related though. But I manage to fix it by uninstalling Archicad 27, removing the goodies also and removing any remaining preference files. Then reinstalling, Archicad, then Goodies and then Update 5003 before launching AC27 for the first time.

Thanks Barry, The process of applying the accessory then updating with favorites has only been born from the fact that the accessory can only be applied at default settings. I don't have the option to select the preferred favorite in the libary part list when applying in the 1st instance:

You need to set the favourite settings before you place the favourite.

Has to be saved while in the accessories settings.

Otherwise it just set as an object favourite.

I already have a long list of favorites ( palette on the right) but they don't appear in the library list on the left when I apply the accessory. The folders show up but not the library part within. And I really don't want to be creating them all again if the roof accessory isn't an isolated occurrence.

PS. favorites aside, the accessory is being placed already disassociated to the roof plane. It adopts the correct shape but is static. Edit the roof and the accessory should change in unison. so that is the primary issue here, no association between roof and accessory upon application 😞

They would be just plan object favourites.

They probably used to work just fine because the objects kept the associativity with the roof.

I can't test 27 before build 5003 (unless I re-install it), but it seems now that if you use these object favourites, it breaks the associativity.

The accessories just become standard objects.

That could well be the problem, associativity has broken.

I would put in a call to your local support.

Thanks Barry. I've contacted our object developer for input but I don't see this as an issue with the library part, definitely a hotfix 27.2.0 issue.
