Industrial MEP components

Hey there all,

A new members first post!!?!

* I have ArchiCAD 13 installed + MEP plugin.
* I have an ArchiCAD model of a 12 story building.
* I have to run all MEP services through each level.
* I have .dwg files of the 2D layout for each level.
* I have a list of products used.
* I need to create 3D deliverables of each floors services.

I am completely new to ArchiCAD (yes it is that bad) and have AC13 and the MEP plugin for 13.

I have figured out how to use the MEP tools, my problem is that all the MEP equipment seems to be residential.

I have found most of the componentry on a suppliers website. Available formats are dwg/dxf, Revit, CATIA, 3DS Max.

Is there a way of creating ArchiCAD MEP equipment from any of these formats? Or is there anywhere to obtain industrial units?

Thanks in advance!!>!

Create your own elements and save them as MEP parts, similar to creating library parts

You can import the 3DS objects.

Can you direct me to any tutorials on making my own parts, and how to turn them into MEP parts that work?

P.S. I am having trouble with ductwork terminals.

I have set the duct connection to 'rectangular'. There is still a circular hole being extruded into the terminal unit. If the (A)Width value of the connector is bigger than the (B)Height value of the connector, a hole appears in the top of the terminal unit as the extruded hole is bigger than the unit. Is this a bug, or am I missing something??!?
