3d view is not working!

Anonymous

Marqueed off an area of my model.
Went to orthogonal 3d view.
Adjusted 3d view to side elevation.
It appeared for a moment (looking normal) and then disappeared.
Since then I have not been able to get any 3d view to work at all, persp or orthog.
Occasionally I can select an object to bring up its green outline but otherwise it is all still invisible.
I have looked at:

layer visibility
renovation status
cutting planes
model view core/finish settings

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm experiencing a variation on this theme.

This morning, parts of several models started to disappear in the 3d window, and the more I tried, the more parts disappeared, until there was nothing visible at all. These are all 12-16MB files.

Changing from the OpenGL 3D engine back to the clunky Internal 3D engine seems to bring everything back in 3D...and so far, this only happens on my home office iMac (specs below) and not on my newer office iMac. This has been replicated over several projects.

Any thoughts on the OpenGL connection? Any chance there's an issue with the ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB card?

This is usually graphics card driver related, especially if it works fine with Internal 3D Engine.
Try updating your graphics card driver or finding a driver version which works fine.
