Attribute Manage Woes

Just wanted to put this out to the ether....

A couple of days ago I modified all my ZONE CATEGORIES...

Now, EVERY time I go to the ATTRIBUTE MANAGER and do nothing.... it shows that I've MODIFIED ALL the same zones... with the MODIFY button lit up.

At the time I did the editing, this also happened and when I hit modify, all the zones went back to their original state so I had to re edit them all...

Now, it seems that hitting MODIFY keeps them as they are supposed to be.. but why is this happening....?

In addition... every time I actually DO change something in attribute manager, the zones also show up as being modified (when I've done nothing to the zones)...
