Auditorium Tiered Floor Issue

Anonymous

Hi there,

I am a student in the process of designing a large school for my final design brief, with part of this brief requiring me to design a 600 seat auditorium. I have successfully applied tiered seating to my space using the ArchiCAD furniture item, however would now like to apply a floor.

Is there an easy way to achieve this, or does it come down to creating a different floor with a different offset for each tier. The height difference between tiers is 450mm, and there are approximately 20 tiers in total. I have attached a screenshot of the space.

I am using the Education Version of ArchiCAD 19.

Thanks for your help.

It is quite simple to do:

1. Use "Profile Manager" to design a section profile for the seat tiers. Set it to be used as a WALL.

2. Model a radial wall with this profile.
3. Adjust the view for the new created tiers. Done.

The profile doesn't have to be curved like Andro has kindly shown.
You can use three straight profile walls.
Do the same for the steps - the trick will be getting probably 2 or 3 steps for every seat tier?
