Can any one tell me why some objects do not show on layout?

I have placed chairs etc on my roof plan and they can be seen. (they are not in a hidden layer) But when I look at them on the layout sheet they are not there and they don't print out.

Thanks for any help given

Have they been placed above the cut-plane by mistake? I sometimes place, say, an overhead cabinet and then forget to change base elevation back to zero for the next object.

Does your layout sheet layer settings match your work sheets? Sometimes I don't update my layer settings and the layouts aren't what I had intended.

Oops!

Didn't notice that you said "layout". Probably a layer combination.
