DWG limitations?

Are there any known limitations when using DWG's? I've experienced that when having 5 DWG's Xref'ed in a project, importing a 6th causes weird things to happen to the previously imported DWG's.

Big files or little files make any difference?

Correction: its not the importing itself that causes a problem, its the trace-function. The list of possible reference seems to accept only 5 sheets..

I am confused by what you mean now (that's not hard to do).
You may have to show a screen shot or two.

As in you have 5 .dwg stacked on one another, and it will not trace when you add a 6th? I have never had a situation where that has been needed... I have 8 .dwg that trace separately perfectly fine.
