I am trying to draw a roof made of glass in a conservatory how do I do the aluminium support beams for the glass as they slope down to the glass walls. I have tried doing beams using the beam tool but you cannot angle these. Help please./Jane iMac

Interesting that option to give the the angle is not possible in my ArchiCad edition.

Although I never worked on the start edition, I thought this is a standard feature and should be available. Can you add your archicad version in your signature like the rest of others, so that others can help you here.

If you're using a roof element to create the sloping glass, use a roof to create the glazing bars too, same slope but thicker, and drop them down 10mm (or half an inch).

Also with regard to signature, click on the Profile button under the Graphisoft banner at the top of the forum page, enter your details in the box near the bottom of the form, and it will show up after every post you make.
