Drawing composites

Anonymous
Not applicable
I am drawing some cabins made of wood, that consists in the following layers,

wooden boards
horizontal wood ribbons every 60cm placed in a vertical layout
vertical wood ribbons every 60 cm placed in horizontal layout

My question is if I can create a composite which one of its layers will be formed by the horizontal or vertical ribbons(beams or pillars in archicad) placed in vertical or horizontal layout arrangement.

Composite walls will only create skins (layers) in a wall that are solid in 3D (they can be a transparent building material for cavities) and these skins will appear as a fill in plan and section.
It is not possible to create the actual timber components that form the skin.

A complex profile wall will allow you to create the horizontal components, but there is no way to do the vertical components in a complex profile.

You would need a 'wall accessory' (and the wall accessory add-on) to do the vertical timbers if you want them linked to the wall.
There is a post here somewhere that has an option to do custom profiles for a wall cladding that may help - I will see if I can find it.

This is the post I was thinking of.
not sure if it will help.
You may need a combination of a complex profile wall with the horizontal members and this accessory for the vertical.
