How to turn off guidelines?

I have changenged some setting by accident that I can't figure out. Now, when I draw a line, a guide line rubberbands from the cursor to the point of drawing origin. Also the normal X/Y guidelines no longer show up, even when turned on. What did I do?

I should clarify that. The guide lines are on, but they orient from the drawing origin, not the start of the line being drawn.

Clarification: the guide line that connects to the project origin is a "ghost line"

Sounds like you've hit the Absolute / Relative (delta) button associated with angle coordinates. See image, (its the central button with triangle, above the Tool Tip)

Or, if you are using the Tracker, you should have the Relative Coordinates in Tracker option ON.
