Im in the position now of really needing to lean on inner edge zones for many things
As complex walls have grown in use etc, I am now finding getting a proper close is in some case near on impossible. I am even using zone boundary lines to try and close. There are no slightly non orthogonal walls etc although there is now way to get a graphic override to highlight a slightly angled wall ie to audit...
So Im asking how others do it so that esp property reporting is reliable.
eg
I am simply extracting the skirting quantity from zones via property object using GDL parameters which is know has worked quite well for a loooong time.
These basic rooms are all good...
Produces correct output
This is reporting correctly but the hall zone which encompasses a number of diff wall types is...arg!!!
I have had to set to polygon because of this but of course reports wrong wall perim values
Not sure why zones arent part of modelling...they are intrinsic for data extraction
