Layer Isolation?
Does Archicad have this function?
In Acad...(sorry...don't mean to offend) but in old Autocad, we could program macro's such as "Layer isolation" at the click of a button in order to isolate "ONE" and only one layer for use.

In Archicad, of which I've been using now for 7 years, I've tried to see how best to be able to "click on an object" in that layer...and simply isolate the entire layer? is this possible? If so..please...how do you do this without having to go thru layer favorites, or the layer list in "select all" and "deselect all"???

thanks,

Yeah, this is present. Look at the quick layers pallet.

And, it bears observing that elements in separate layers can easily be merged to one layer if you've become frustrated with a multi-layer approach.

Select the elements, then Edit>Element Settings>Edit Selection Set.
