Placing Items on FP using GPS coords

I have a long list of trees that need to be placed which I will model so they read a spreadsheet and respond with colours, labels etc

BUT

They must be placed on FP using the GPS coordinates eg

-33.70496458033375, 150.36976623405238

I have set the location using this data and all of that works well etc.

The project origin is then set to this point

However, whilst you can set the survey data relative to this, I actually need to place items in absolute GPS coords

How is this done?

This could be a possible workflow:

1/ Convert the gps coordinates to x,y coordinates; this can be done with something like this: https://tool-online.com/en/coordinate-converter.php

2/ Paste all coordinates in an excel file.

3/ Generate a mesh based on surveyor coordinates: file/interoperalbility/place mesh from surveyors data.

4/ Each point on the mesh represents a tree. Manualy place a tree on every point.

Thanks @cuba

I will consider that but surely they implemented the Survey Point, should that not logically extend to uses like this? This is becoming very common place with a lot of the sites I work on now ie increased statutory requirements.

Im hoping it would go the other way too so that for eg planting etc, the coords are published with graphics. The landscapers have very accurate GPS so they can use the schedule to place species in exactly the right spot
