Plan Cut Plan Settings

Another very basic question from someone just learning Archicad.....

I have a knee-wall with a shelf, but the knee-wall join graphically shows above the shelf.
I have set the floor plan cut plane higher than the shelf, but still it graphically shows incorrect.

I'm obviously doing something wrong, but what....?

You need to adjust "Show on stories" to your requirements ( click the > arrow). The options cover most cases, but sometimes you may have to split your column to get it to only appear on the correct stories.

David beat me to it.

AC doesn't work too well in plan with stacked elements, especially the same type e.g. slabs, they tend to get displayed in creation order. If you want the top shelf to mask the frame/shelf below then adjust its display order (bring forward) and turn on / apply the cover fill to mask the lower elements.

Thanks,
Continuing this topic:

I have a column that spans multiple storeys.

If the home storey is on the 1st storey, it disappears graphically from the 2nd storey plan.
But the column is still visible correctly in the 3D view spanning from the 1st, through the 2nd to the roof.

Similarly, if I set the home storey as 2nd storey, and make the origin -4500mm, it still shows correctly on the 3D, but no disappears from the 1st storey.

I cant seem to find the setting to make this singular column visible on multiple storeys.

In the Column Settings look at Floor Plan and Section > Floor Plan Display > Show on Stories > All Relevant Stories.
