Rotate stair riser text?

Anonymous

I can't see how to rotate the riser and tread text (automatically created) on my stair created with the basic AC9 stairmaker tool. Or how to select this text. I've looked in the Stair Selection Settings and the particular stair type (Edit This Stair) within that dialog.

Is there a way to hide this text? Or rotate it?

Thanks for any help.

As I recall this is one of the sad limitations of StairMaker (aka the Stair Tool).

Unless I'm mistaken the only way to fix it is turn off or cover up the text and add the correct text by hand.

Thanks for the super quick reply.

How do you turn off this text?

Thanks again for your help.

(I'm taking an all day intro class tomorrow in AC10. Maybe this will be fixed in 10)

I just edited my post above, so it might be unnoticed. So here's the follow up...

How do you turn off this text?

Thanks again.

Turn on "Scale Sensitive Symbol", then the "indented" settings actually work.

I turned on "Scale Neutral Symbol" and lost the risers in plan.
Don't see "Scale Sensitive Symbol".

I must be missing something.
Thanks for any ideas on what.

Here's what my (Mac) dialog looks like:

I think Tom meant to say "Scale Neutral". "Scale Sensitive" applies to some other parts such as doors and windows.

You may not be able to get what you want here (and probably not what you need either). Your best bet may be to patch over the errant text with fills and text that face the right way.
