Save selection to a new file?

Is there a way to save the selection (selected with the thick marquee) to a new .PLN file?

Hello anto_bg,

I think it is not possible
From 2D views from each level you can do mod files by a publication
Then you can import them into your new pln and explode them if you don't need to keep modules

Sure.
Place the all storey (thick) marquee.
FILE menu > External Content > Save Selection As Module.
Change the file type from .MOD to ,PLN.
Give the new file a new name and there you have it.

I tried this yesterday and it didn't work. ArchiCad started a process of splitting the file and finally after a long wait to complete the process, there were two identical files with different names and that was it.

Yep, that is it.
The second file should contain only what was inside the all storey marque.
At least it does for me.
