Slab above as dashed in floorplan

Anonymous

hi all

I want to see the slab of the level above as dashed lines in my floorplan.
I can make it visible with show on stories setting but i miss the option for additional display linetype.

any idea how to get it done?

thanks!

Go to: Options > Project Preferences > Legacy

And set up the Below Home Story linetype.

I don't think you can set it for individual slabs if you would want different lines.

You can also create a Graphic Override Combination to achieve this.
Create a new Graphic Override Rule.
For Criteria do this:

Element Type is Slab
Elevation > 2000 to Current Story.

For Override Style, check the Line Type checkbox and specify the Override Line Type.

Then add this Override Rule to a Graphic Override Combination (GOC) and apply that GOC to your View.

That 2000 is an arbitrary number, it probably needs to be higher than your Floor Plan Cut Plane Height and lower than your Story Height.
