Split the wall into pieces where the materials break. Often, it is a good idea to have different walls (or different composite walls) where materials change. Then you can allocate space in plan for items such as STONE VENEEERS, etc.

You don't specify if you want different materials horizontal or vertically.

Duanes advice above applies more to vertical divisions in a wall (although you could break a wall down into horizontal parts if you wanted, but there is a better & easier way to do that).

For different materials horizontally you should consider using a complex profile assigned to a wall. You can individually split the wall into any number of components, apply a different material to each, and extrude everything along the whole length.

See this tech tip for an example - http://www.archicadwiki.com/TechNotes/Changing%20Materials%20of%20Complex%20Profile%20Walls

ar_raneem, you've mentioned a long wall.

i think you can set the walls to different priority.

so they can not touch each other.

and you may set the material individually

The walls should work just fine without having to touch the priorities. They are in a straight line so no joining is occuring anyway.
