vaulted roof construction

It is too simple but some click or other I am missing as is soooo typical in AC 10 for me. I draw the arch on the plan, run acrossit with the magic wand, and click on the roof vault tool. All is great, except the arch is not there in the AC model.
It appears that the magic wand is not picking up the arch? but after 30 trys with all combinations I must admit defeat.

Hello Paul,
Draw the arc in plan.
Enable the roof tool.
Select the barrel vault construction method.
Click on the arc with the magic wand tool (space bar).
An open orthogonal ghost polygon will appear.
Constrain the angle to vertical and drag downward.
Click once then drag downward some more then click again.
A dialog comes displaying the roof thickness, height, etc.
Make any changes and click OK.
Your barrel vault roof should appear.
You will need to stretch the roofs so suspend groups
and stretch with the marque tool.

Well it can be done...many thanks...I even got the dubbel curved truss beams done that are just below the roof.
I wonder why is it so hard to get ArchiCAD to give this type of simple direct instructions in English ?

Again many thanks you save the week !

Hello Paul,
I am always curious when people choose the roof tool
to make this type of shape.
Could you tell me what prompted you to make this choice ?
The reason I ask is there are now several alternate methods
that make such a form that are faster, easier, and look better.
Thank you,
Peter Devlin
