Wall Area and Volume

Booster

Is it possible to calculate net. Wall area’s and Wall Volumes of composites?

if not, how do you handle this? Do you model all walls separately (inner wall, insulation, cavity, cladding) to get the area and volume?

And if so, how do you place windows because they do not cut different layers of walls?? Can’t figure it out. Please help

Have you looked into Interactive Schedules?

You can model as one wall (makes door and window placement easy).

There are 3 types of schedules depending on what information you want to retrieve.

Elements are for the entire wall.

Components should let you get values for each skin.

Surfaces will focus just on the exposed surfaces.

You should be able to get gross, net and conditional areas and volumes.
