horror of horrors, i have opened a file up to find that it is a hotlink of itself. it must have been when i used the thick marquee to export all stories as a module and now it seems each story is a module. If i delete the module in the hotlink list then the drawing goes with it. Can it be reverted back to the drawing state or am i stuck with the module?

Try this after doing a save as.
You should be able to select the module. (make sure to turn grouping on) Then from File/Modules and Xref's/Module Settings
In the dialog box check Break Hotlink of Selected Modules.

Otherwise if you know where the module is saved you could simply merge it a file.

Modules are such a great feature in ArchiCAD. Lots one can do with them.

Hope this helps

tried that, it doesnt work. The file is looking at the module for the drawing, ie the drawing is now a module. If i delete the module then the drawing goes too.
