why can't i migrate my project for teamwork?

The "Prepare for Migration..." menu option is shown greyed out for me:

To migrate a pln, just open it in the newer version of archicad and then choose to migrate the library when it loads.

Your current project is a local project. Migrating this way only works for teamwork projects.
