Label text changes size when pasted from another label

Hi,

Could not find this in the forum, but I may not have looked enough.

When I copy text from within one label to another label it changes size?

Find this annoying. Any work-arounds or solutions to this?

It shouldn't be changing size if the 2 labels have the same size text.
Do you mean that the text size in each of your labels is already different and that it keeps its original size (font, colour, style, etc.) from the original label?
That would be normal, as copying & pasting any text also transfers the formatting of that text.

Hi Barry,

Actually, it would seem that this only occurs between a 'text' and a label, and now less than before I updated AC. Apologies.

However when I copy text from a 'text' to a label, sometimes, if the text is a different size in the original it makes it bigger (not seemingly related to any text in the label) or smaller when pasted than the original sized text.

I'm running release AUS5009.

PS I'm sure it was malfunctioning between labels and label/text more regularly with the older release of AC22.

Not having any trouble here at all - text to text, label to label or text to label.

If the text in each instance (text or label) is the same size, it will remain the same size when pasted.

If the text is different size in each instance, then it will transfer with the original (copied) text size from the first instance and it will be a different size to the text in the second instance when it is pasted.
This is normal as it copies & paste all text formatting as well.

But wait!!!
There is a bug.
If you zoom between the copy and paste the text size does change.

It is a known bug that was to be fixed in build 50xx.
I have build 5009 and it is definitely not fixed.

It seems it didn't make the list of fixes for 22 build 5009.
But it is listed for build 6000 which is in preview at the moment.
I haven't tried it yet though.

252494 EDIT: The size of the copied text changed when zoom was used before pasting the text to be copied.

OK. I'm glad only because I thought I was going mad! At least I know why it happens. So thanks Barry!
