The project files are there in the folder but the server needs a new setup.
Is this common, or am i doing something wrongly. And is there any precaution one can take.
I would really like to request Graphisoft to make BIMserver painless. Currently the backup strategies require going into the terminal on the mac and the equivalent on windows.
Why can't it be simpler, and rock solid. Specially considering if the server goes down it can bring office work to a grinding halt.

Never heard of the problem you are describing before - where does your BIM server run... on your MBPro?
Btw. there are plenty of threads here discussing the ins and outs of various backup strategies, including third party software - have a look around.

Try the instructions from here: http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/?p=63211
Probably the db under the Manager component becomes corrupt.

Thanks, that is exactly my problem.
But graphisoft should just automate all of this.
