i'm using bidirectional connection with ARCHICAD-Cinema 4D Add-on to edit an object from AC inside C4D.
But the hole process is full of failures so it makes no sense to use it.
is Somebody working with it?
cheers,

There is a easy and valid way to communicate with Graphisoft about the add-on limitations?

It can be used to modify an archicad element or create a new object by using Cinema 4D modelling techniques which doesn't exist in ArchiCAD then bring it back to ArchiCAD. The object keeps its position and scale.eldhead wrote:+1 Recommending Din3D have been using it for years.

The plugin's limitation is mainly with materials but if the material is applied after importing the object back to ArchiCAD, then shouldn't be a problem.

I tried the Save as C4D method but that one doesn't optimize the geometry at all, but this i`m referring to the fact that it exports a lot, and i mean A LOT of objects, which kills the view port performance in c4d. And this method still doesn`t have an update option.
I tried to save my ac20 file to ac19 to export it from there via Din3D, guess what, it doesn`t F**** work, it freezes c4d each time (with geometry made in ac 19 it works perfectly).I think the conversion from ac20 to 19 is generating a new time of geometry that din3d can`t export.
I can`t believe that this nemetschek companies can`t work together to have a pipepline between them, or at least the part that is more important, like exporting geometry and optimize it. They should talk with the guy from Din3D and take that project and implement it in their add-ons, or at least LEARN FROM IT.
Even for Lumion there is an update scene option. WAKE UP
