I would very much like to change the default display order number of a new object.
If i understand correctly there are 14 values in the display index, and new objects are placed onto their default index value (ex. Text=5; Zone/Fill=9; etc). Thus text will display above a fill.
But i would like to change the default value, as i sometimes use fills as a "cover" for something (generally groundwork's) and if that fill is then brought to the front of the draw order all my new text is placed behind the fill which makes it hard to select and i have to 'undo' then 'redo' to select it, then 'bring to front'.
Maybe there is already a way to do this, i just haven't been able to find it?
