Complex Profile - Lock Material

Hi all,

This wish is regarding an ability to lock in a surface in a Complex Profile so that even if you override a material in your model, select parts will not change. Or, even better would be the ability to define materials per surface defined in the profile. At the moment, Surface Overrides are not usable on multi material Complex Profiles.

Hi,

By this do you mean that you want to set a different color for each side of a profile, regardless of their actual Building material? Because that is possible (see attachment).
Or do you just want to be able to set a different override to each surface on each placed element?

Hey Dan,

The scenario is on placement. The new Profile Modifiers are nice as they have allowed me to use the same Complex Profile in multiple scenarios, but occasionally, the materials change. At the moment, this requires a new Complex Profile to be made. An alternative to locking a surface material, or in conjunction with, would be being able to assign the surface to the existing Surface Override drop downs. Limiting, but requiring less extensive additions while still allowing a lot more flexibility.
