Along with the Surface Family wish, I would like to be able to create clone/linked surfaces from existent ones. For example: I could create a surface called "Interior.Walls.01" cloned/linked from an existent "Paint.White.Mate.01" surface. Then, it would be much more easy to change and document project finishing options with Graphic Overrides. Another example is related to Doors/Windows finishes. Frames, Leaves, Panels, Trims, can have the same surface very often. This way we could change all of them at once. We could create favorites to achieve this, but the update was not automatic and it would need lots of favorites instances for a single door/window.
