Ability to directly insert a Node into an Arc

If you have the Arc portion of a polygonal element of a Polyline, clicking the Insert New Node button in the Pet Palette will convert the Arc segment into a linear segment.
I would like to be able to insert the Node into the Arc without this happening.

I'll vote essential for the ability to easily remove a node from a polygon object. I could live with the deletion of the arc to add a node. It is a pain, but not as big a pain as trying to drag a node over an existing node just to delete it.

Oh, thanks for reminding me.
Now I did.

After voting essential, let me post a workaround:

Split the polyline at the point where you want the new node, select both parts and Unify ... the node stays.

Thanks Djordje, that is a good an fast workaround.
I see I misspelled one word in my original post.
I wanted to write "...or a Polyline..." instead of "...of a Polyline..."
So do you have maybe a workaround for the case where the arc is in a polygon?

Same as before; make sure that the split line goes through the point where you want the arc to be split AND one of the polygon nodes. That way, the extra nodes do not happen.

Of course, all of the above IF you can split it in that way ... otherwise, you will have to kill the extra node by dragging it to an adjacent one (I know you know this, maybe some others don't )

Yes, that's what I thought.
But the polyline one is surely a good one.

PS.: By the way, Grats on your first decade on ArchiCAD. You and I seem to have started using ArchiCAD almost exactly at the same time, which means this is my first decade as well.
