Can you please widen the Archicad 26 layer description pull down menu so the entire layers text can be read as it was on all previous Archicad versions?
Hovering the curser over each layer to read each layer full text to select correct layer for each object is slow and cumbersome.

I think the width of that depends on the screen real estate you have.
What is your screen size and resolution?
I have a 24" screen with 1980 x 1080 resolution, and my layer list is a little wider than that, but still does get truncated eventually.
It may also be a Mac v Windows thing?
Barry.

Thank you for your reply, Barry.
My iMac is 27" (5120 x 2880) So, I have plenty of screen real estate and resolution. If I make it less resolution, it is much less functional.
Yes, your layer menu is much longer and more workable, so maybe it is a Mac issue.
Since this only occurs in AC26 with the new layers format, I think it is a developer glitch or oversight for Mac's.
I hope the developers read this and consider a fix in the next AC26 update.
I will not use AC26 until it is fixed because it slows down my workflow considerably.
Sincerely,
Guy

So you have a hi-res monitor it seems.
I am not familiar with Macs at all.
But in Windows, everyone seems to re-scale their display in the operating system.
So they have all of these extra pixels, and then they scale the screen so they effectively only use half of them (which causes problems).
Maybe you are doing something similar with system screen scaling?
This is my overall screen layout in 26.
How does that compare to yours?
Barry.

Thank you again, Barry.

Yes, your overall screen is at least as wide if not wider than mine.
Someone with a Mac will have to comment on the width of the layer list then, as I do not have access to a Mac.
Barry.

Thank you again, Barry.
I hope someone with an iMac does reply with a solution, although I think it might require a developer fix.
Sincerely,
Guy
