Hi there,
At our firm, we use the FRA version of Archicad in Switzerland and our colleagues in Portugal use the POR one.
For Archicad 25 5005:
Today I see that there is a 5010 that was released 2022-03-30.
My wish is that you reduce this time lag to a minimum because I am waiting for the POR release to announce our firm that we can go to 5005.
Since we are 300 and that a member of Portugal could help basically any project it is too hard to pick people who can already update.
Or even better that translation is managed in another way?
Linked to this topic, is there a way to subscribe to updates notifications (not through Archicad but by email) for Archicad (and versions), BIMcloud, etc. ?
Thanks a lot for your help 🙂
Best regards.
Mathieu

Wish from my side also. Maybe if there is such lag between different version, just release all versions at the same time 2-4 weeks later.

it would be better to have ONE MULTILINGUAL installer, like 3ds Max,
and links to templates and libraries for each language,
that would save a loooot of effort

At least they can start with translation pack's in Archicad settings. Maybe some companies no need localised version they just use it because different language, so they could use INT version at least.

Revit and Rhino are like that as well. With the same software installation, all users only have to choose the language they want.

I was just thinking of posting something similar.
In fact I'm thinking of starting to use the international version instead of the one localized in my language (Spanish)
is it possible to have the same version 25 of Archicad installed in two different languages?

@Koji Yes, it's possible. You can install as many versions as you want.

Clarification, it is not possible to install any language version you want.
Archicad versions yes (23,24,25) but not language versions.
You will be limited to the language version you purchased plus the INT version.
For example I am AUS (Australian) which is an English language version.
Fortunately for me this means I can install USA, UKI, NZE (other English language versions) as well as INT.
I can not run FRA or SPA or any other language.

@Barry Kelly I have a perpetual license that I could use for all language versions. I already tested that with the Brazilian, Portugal, French, Spanish, Japanese, Australian versions, etc. two years ago. Maybe, actually, it's no longer possible.

Did you initially purchase an INT version by any chance?
Maybe that will let you run other language versions.
I have been trying on and off for a few years and can only run English language versions.
Here is a post from 2019.

It seems some have more luck than others.
I guess the only thing is to install and see what happens.
There is no problem installing any version - so you can get the libraries if that is all that is needed.
But actually running the software may be a different matter.
All you can do is try, if it works = bonus.
Barry.
