Composite wall clean-up

Wall clean up on composite walls is less than desirable. Composite elements, like layers, need to have settable levels, a hierarchy if you will. That way a 2x element will clean up to a 2x, a gyp element to gyp, air space to air space....., and so on. That way each element will clean up appropriately instead of from inside to outside corner which allows "bleeding" of elements.

This wish has been around forever and probably will continue for as long as ArchiCAD is around.

Wall clean-up has been getting progressively better with each release of the program and will no doubt continue to do so. The problem of getting walls (especially composites) to clean up properly is very complex. Any automatic function like this has the problem of being made to do all the things that every body wants, while avoiding what is unwanted.

There is already some intelligence in the skin priorities, cleaning like to like and distinguishing core from veneers, but I agree that there is plenty of progress to be made here.

The really big step will be improving the clean-up in section between composite walls, floors and roofs.

I figured this was and has been a hot topic but was unable to locate any previous/recent postings. It's not a big deal on smaller size floor plans, but looks sloppy on a enlarged plan.

It would be nice to see a "top ten" list of issues that graphisoft is seriously looking into.
