Many times I wish for the ability to have multiple trace references current at one time.

I modified the title of the topic because nested means that there is a Trace Reference within a Trace Reference. Normally, this is what nested refers to, such as in case of Hotlinked Modules.

Can you provide some use cases so people can have a better understanding of why this would be good in the program?

By the way, there is already a not too old wish about this, you might want to vote on that one too:

Currently the workaround would be to place those Views you want to see on a single Layout and display the Layout in your Viewpoint as Trace Reference.

Multiple Trace Reference would be used to work with: Structural, HVAC, Light and Sound System Plans at the same time.
So we know exactly were conflicts are.
