Opaque for Dimension Text

Why not have opaque for dimension text!?!?!?

I just wonder what would you need that for? However, I fully agree that the text settings should be consistent througout AC. So, I vote essential for consistency.

Oh, I dunno... maybe for when you're dimensioning things over fills (i.e.: when you're dimensioning the depth of the footing in a section with the earth fill showing, or the size of a room that has a tile fill showing, or...?). Speaking of that, maybe a -2 fill should be half-toning, so you don't completely wipe out what's behind the text, but you let it punch out above what's below.

WHEN DOING STRUCTURAL PLANS AND DIMENSIONS I WOULD RATHER NOT HAVE LINES JUMBLING THE TEXT . WHEN IT IS IN COLOR IT IS EASY TO DETERMINE THE TEXT FROM THE LINES BUT WHEN THEY ALL ARE PRINTED BLACK THE TEXT CAN GET LOST. BUT IF THE TEXT CAN HAVE A PATCH BEHIND THE TEXT SO IT IS NOT BLEEDING INTO LINES (AND NOT HAVE TO PUT IN A FILL BEHIND EVERYONE)..... THEN THERE IS NO PROBLEMS WITH READING THE TEXT. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PDF IT SHOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN USING THE OPAQUE TEXT AND NOT OPAQUE TEXT ONE BEAM INFORMATION IS HARD TO READ COMPARED TO THE SECOND ONE. i CAN GET IT TO WORK IN ARCHICAD BUT WHEN I TAKE IT INTO PLOT MAKER IT DOES NOT SHOW UP THAT WAY.
