Options for attribute folder deletion

Currently deleting a folder that contains an attribute item prompts the same delete and replace dialog as if the content was directly selected and deleted. This might make sense for the flawed implementation where folders are nothing more than a way to tag and quick select attributes. But for anyone trying to use folders for a more "advanced" management it is really strange and inefficient not being able to delete a folder and move its content to another folder.

Deleting a folders should prompt the option to move its content to another folder (either keeping the substructure or flattening it). This should be the case even for folders not containing any attribute items.

That is fine if you want all of the contents to go to the same folder.

It is not too hard to simply drag & drop the contents of the folder to where you want them to go (either one or many different folders), and then just delete the empty folder.

Otherwise we will need options to delete all, delete & replace all, or move all when ever we delete a folder.

It's not hard - but it is cumbersome and inefficient. Unnecessarily so due to the flawed interface. If there was a proper tree-view and/or the ability to select folders and see all contents then it would not be as useful to have the requested function - although the inefficiency of going back and cleaning deleting folders remain. Such improvement to the interface would of course also be useful for the case where you want to move certain layers without deleting folders.

Furthermore - it is possible to drag and drop folders and items in the attribute palette - yet there is the "move to" command. So it apparently isn't an issue to have two ways to do something and someone has seen the use of a more direct/efficient command. Although, AC ever inconsistent, the move command isn't available in the attribute dialogs and it uses an interface without search, different from than the one used for replacing attributes. And I think that last part is quite telling - the developers really are at a loss when it comes to this.

@thesleepofreason , good idea if you mean to have all palettes to be like Navigator palette where we've tree view & search function :
