This might be more effective than the wish list that seems out of control and hope

Some that cross my mind immidiately!

1. Revit's temporary dims (select the object and see dims attached to its extends and changing those values changes geometry)
2. Some of revits relational Capabilites.

3. My favorite of course is SketchUp's Pull-Puss and face creation strategy.
Its simply AMAZING and most of all intuitional

My wish is for GS! Get a copy for each software along with a power user of each. Don't let AC programmers get near it! Possible infection!
Give him various tasks and watch him in action!

Posting specific application feature(once again):
ADT's Curtain wall system .Just fantastic!
Combine ArchiCAD's door-window system with archiglazing, window-door builder, storefront windows, curtain-wall objects or anything else you have seen adding the possibility to customize each mullion, infill, profile etc
A little hard to understand at first but once you get it, works like a charm!*

*these are just my words. Try to see it in action by someone who really knows how to use it

I agree. Much more versatility is needed. Without Door/Window Builder, my job would be much more difficult. Archicad windows should be just as good right out of the box. No, they should be even better.

Sorry oreopoulos,

but this is a feature that I wouldn't appreciate at all. It's so annoying and disturbing when working with Revit (in fact when "fiddling" with Revit).

However this is my wish: A simple built-in tool for a profile/curve extrusion along 3D curve(s).

Revit's temp dims are a very nice feature. Temp dims can become permanent dims with a click, and all geometry can be controlled by highlighting an element and changing its dimension, wheter temp or permanant. Even dimensions in Revit are bi-directional parametric. It's a tool any 3D arch software should have.

As for it being annoying, well, thats just a part of letting go of old habits, and embracing new technology.

Temp dims are a visual aid. It could be turned ON and OFF. As simple as that.
I find myself all the time drawing lines to measure length of walls. OR changing the origin to create a wall at "x" distance of the walls start. OR...

I Undestand that you may find annoying, but such a feature can be TURNED ON or OFF and everyone can be happy
