In Archicad 24, there are several capabilities. Are you aware of these:

1. In the Place Hotlink Dialog, it is possible to select a file from the BIMcloud server.
2. The "File > Export to BIMcloud" command lets you save MOD files directly to the BIMcloud server.
3. In the Publisher, you can publish any View except 3D and Schedules/Lists as Module as Module (you can't save Layouts as Module), and you can set the BImcloud server as the publish destination.

Do you wish for something else, something additional?

Hi Laszlo,
Thank you for the information.

What is missing is the option to open / edit a placed Module directly from the host-file (like Hotlinks).
At the moment, if a Module needs to be changed, it is necessary to download it from BIMcloud separately (and upload/export it again).

But modules are not (should not be treated as, except perhaps in some extreme emergency) working files. MODs are to the model space pretty much what PMKs are to the drawing space.

Some local or BIMcloud file should be publishing the MODs to BIMclould. When the MOD needs to be modified, it should be modified from the file/s publishing it (there can be several files publishing and overwriting the same module (a .mod with the same name, from the same AC file story, to the same server folder); for successive/variant design versions that feed into a building or site host file, for example). With the correct work environment setting (probably the default one) on saving the host file will notice the hotlink is outdated and update.
