I have a really nice Rhino file with geometry taken from Google Earth:I
select only the google earth geometry and choose "export" and save it as
a .3dm file. Then in archicad I've tried both "place hotlink" and just
opening the Rhino file as an archi...

zero... but just for the X and Y axis. I was getting some unusual
coordinates with the measure tool all of a sudden, so I looked around

Thanks a lot! This ended up rotating the whole model the same angle that
the axes we're set to, so I had to then select everything and rotate
straight again, and it worked.
Thank you all for great answers. I have to admit I'm a novice and not
familiar with the more complicated methods mentioned. I ended up using
the complex roof geometry method described in this
