Section / Elevation Marker Home Story

Bruce
Expert
We should be able to control the home story and display range of elevation and section markers the same as slabs & roofs.

This allows changing of home story after placement and the ability to control just on what stories the markers are shown.

Ironically this method is used for interior elevations (because the interior elevation tool is unusable), so it hits us where it hurts the most.

Cheers,

Yeah, that brings up the whole "broken IE marker" thing. How annoying is THAT? Someone needs to get on it:

The actual big issue with Section Elevation marker Home Story settings is this:
You draw your elevation marker on story 0 originally.
Then you realize, that you don't want to show that marker on that floor, because it is only showing elements from above story 0.
You change the range and set the marker to show on floors entirely in range.
The marker will diappear from story 0, but:
If you open the elevation and want to use the "Select the elevation on Home Story and zoom to it" command, guess what happens; ArchiCAD will go to Story 0 and zoom to an empty spot on the screen...
This to me is a bug. An annoying one indeed.

Not really.
The home storey is still 'storey 0'.
You have just chosen to "show on floors entirely in range".
Storey 0 is not in that range so it will not be show on that storey.
Then you say "Select the elevation on Home Story and zoom to it" so it does.
But remember you have chosen not to show it there - but it is still there - just not visible.

Set the home storey to be the one where it first shows.
