Turn off of cutting walls from slabs or column - material priority

Hi, I would like to turn of cutting two object towards other. ( I haven't use solid operation for this )

I guess that this is about material priority number.

Right know I would like to set that my walls are not cut of from other slabs which are hidden.

Explaining my issue. I have two models which is colliding each other one modell is link from my consult and also from archicad. I have layer which can turn of and turn on I'm using for keeping layout.

But this modell cutting my model.

1. Picture show invisible column in 2D  (Came from linked model)
2. This invisible column also doing cut in 3d Model
3. Showing hidden model which makes this trouble

Do you know how to turn off this function or some other good idea ?

1. My idea is to set some material number 999 but it's gonna cut of the other model.

2. Deleting linked model which I wanna keep it for design.

3. Any other clever IDEA from this forum ?

Didn't have this case begore but did you try to link that model as HLM and set the layer priority to 0 it msy stop intersction.

Master Layer group does not affect the contained elements.

You could possibly use the Renovation Filter with intersections turned off to split the hotlink if it has not already been used.

You should be using layer combinations to control your layers.

So in the combination that you hide the slab layer, you can set the intersection group number to be different to the wall layer.

If they have different intersection group numbers, then they will not cut each other automatically.

In the layer combinations where you do see both the slabs and the walls, and you want them to cut each other, you set the intersection group number to be the same for both layers.

The issue is that it is the layers of the hotlink intersecting with the host models layers, and if they have the same layer structure, they will merge which prevents you from changing the intersection group of just the hotlinks walls / slabs. Though given it is from a consultant, maybe the layer structure is different?

Renovation tool sound like solution I'm guessing right i need to do this:

1. I have to change all object in the model from my consult to the new renovation "layer" in the model for example (ALT 1)

2. Export this renovation "layer" with new ALT 1 and inport in my model

3. Showing/hidding model when I change renovation filter to ALT1

Sounds like Master layer for this case. I'll try it. Thanks
