Rhino grasshopper live connection - limitations?

ScholtKe

Hello @All,
i need a process to translate more complex geometry from a mesh into an archiCad Element. The Rhino grasshopper live connection plugin give me the possibility to load in some specific elements, i.e. columns or beams, but they are limited in their form… such as an rectangle profile or an IPE…

i need to translate the geometry as it is shown… with offsets, consoles, slits and holes…
i can load it it as a morph solid, but thats not the way i like to have… they should be column elements…

kind regards.

Hi ScholtKe,

Unfortunately the connection has a limitation when it comes to segmented columns. Hopefully there will be some improvements regarding this topic. Meanwhile the morph solution is your only chance. You can set them a column classification in AC.
