Architerra-- should we get it?

Anonymous
Not applicable
We're looking into Architerra, and any practical feedback on it (or on other landscape architecture packages) would be highly appreciated.

We're a mac architecture office with 8 Archicad keys and with one landscape architect/ architect (no key) who does landscape architecture work, more and more frequently. We haven't gotten much into CAD for that part, but we've got a job where we'll need to do some cut and fill calculations, and we frequently need to do a lot of work with contours. So far, we've done this by hand or with minimal Archicad use, but that gets tedious.

Could anyone give some quick reactions to our options?

Thanks in advance,

Matthew

there was some architerra feedback mentioned off topic in another thread here today:

it will certainly be able to handle your cut/fill calculations.

it's not a terrain modeller, but you may also want to look at cadimage's landscaping tools:

the default database is configured to NZ plants, but laying out and producing planting schedule functionality is all in there . . .
