Can I use Solidworks to create architecture models? Best free architecture software?

Hi, I have access to Solidworks 2016 and was wondering if it was worth my time to learn the program or to download a free (or cheap) architecture software instead. I would like to get a construction job soon (I want to go to school for architecture next year and would like to get some experience in the meantime). Would learning Solidworks help my chances or should I learn another program? Working for an architecture firm would be even better (assuming it's possible before school).

You should really be asking this in a Solidworks forum.
This is an Archicad forum for Archicad users.

If you want to download a trial version or free student version then go to the 'Useful Links' menu above and go to 'MyArchicad'.
