Opening a *DGN file

I tried to open a *dgn file,  i go file, open/import external file, i select *dgn extension, and then nothing, a blank/white page. How or what i need to open this *DGN file with archicad?

I tried those steps, but lately I found that my *dgn file was to big,
so i couldn't open it.
