Broken Dimension Tool?

Experiencing weird behavior on a project where the dimension tool will not work - won't stick to anything. The problem seems to be related to a specific archicad project file. It won't work if i try save as-> renamed file, or open new file & import project file. Not working on other computers, either.
Windows 10 Pro, ArchiCAD 6.5-22
Lumion 9.0
Dell Precision 7730 [64GB RAM | NVIDIA QUADRO P5200 16GB RAM | XEON E-2186M 6 CORE 2.9Ghz

Can you create a new file and merge in the "broken" file?

No - Tried that without success
