Mass Study with dimensions ?

How do I add dimensions to a mass study with shading?

- In floor plan - i have chose NEW 3D DOC FROM FLOOR PLAN. Then added shading and dimensions but - its not really a 3d study as its only a plan ?

-Can I create a 3D view (top view wih shading) and add dimensions ? (dont appear to be able to do so in 3D right ?)

- should I copy and paste the top view with shading in to say a worksheet ? then add dimemsions ?

in a real "3D document" you can add dimensions. its a little tricky but it works.

(1) Axonometric View - Top - Save View
(2) Make it a "3D document"
(3) Add Dimensions

Also how have you enabled shadows - tried the same thing - axo or in plan - save doc as 3D - this part ok so far- i follow you.

However, when saved though, no shadows showing. In option views shadows in on. Thankx

its a mesh and a slab.

Cause its a proxy of the 3D, you have to turn on a proper 3D-style. in my case, I choose white model with shadows.
