The project is a renovation of 2 floors within a multifamily residence, which is located on the hillside in Stuttgart, Germany. The former garden level basement was used as a children's English library with it's own address and entrance to the road.

The building works involved connecting this basement level to the ground floor flat and was retrofitted to become a two storey family residence, with 3 children's rooms, bathroom and TV-room downstairs. The former library entrance was turned into a bicycle garage. Upstairs, the kitchen was relocated to the south-side and an open living space was created. The old kitchen became a sauna and bathing area.
