Redesign a Historic Site for the Modern Era
"Reuse the Thermae" invites designers to blend today’s architectural technology with the ancient history of Italy’s Imperial Era. Your challenge is to reimagine the historic Thermal Baths of Curinga and revitalize the site through innovative design. How can you preserve the Thermae and welcome visitors to step inside its ongoing story?
Participants may enter as individuals or as teams of up to four. Submit your design by January 17 to be in the running for the grand prize! All entries will be displayed in a 2024 exhibition in Curinga, Italy.
Heritage BIM with Archicad
To facilitate the design process, Graphisoft is giving participants FREE access to an educational license of Archicad for the duration of the competition. In addition, teams are invited to take advantage of complimentary BIMcloud access for secure, real-time collaboration as their designs take shape.
And the best part? All participants also receive an Archicad model (PLN file) of the site and the ruins created by the Graphisoft team in Italy! Use this BIM model as the starting canvas to inform your design in 2D and 3D.
