Dear fellow Community members,
The real legacy of our products lays on the people using them every day to turn ideas into built reality. We sit down with four members of our Community—@CosminF, @Francois Swanepoel, @Patricia Angelim and @Thomas A Bormann—to hear how Archicad, BIMx, and the community itself have shaped their work, learning, and professional journeys.
Every architect’s path into BIM is different. For some, Archicad was part of their university education; for others, it was a natural step away from 2D workflows and toward a more intuitive way of designing, coordinating, and communicating projects. In that context, BIM is about making better-informed decisions and finding more efficient ways to bring architectural intent into construction.
In these conversations, our guests reflect on the moments that made Archicad “click” for them. They highlight tools that are easy to use, connected workflows, creative freedom, interoperability, and the ability to develop a project from early design through detailed documentation in record time.

“I really loved the user interface. It was very plug and play—without knowing anything, you could get a floor plan to show to your colleagues by the end of the day.” —Cosmin Furdui |

“I would always model and produce the drawings from the model, because you see the problems. It may take a little longer at first, but it means less trouble on site, lower costs for the client, and a smoother process for the contractor.” |
As Thomas noted, modeling is not only a way to generate documentation. It can help you identify issues earlier, understand construction sequencing, and make better decisions before they reach the site.
Both the local Archicad user groups and the global online Community are spaces that create opportunities to learn from different project types, regions, and levels of experience.
Patricia’s quote below captures our spirit especially well: by researching challenging questions and contributing where she can, she continues to learn something new every day. Cosmin similarly reflects on how participating in the Community introduced him to creative, elegant solutions he might not have found on his own.

“The culture I experience in the Graphisoft Community is supportive and open to sharing knowledge, ideas, and insights.” |

“When people bring tricky or difficult questions, I take time to understand what is happening and try to solve them. I learn something new every day.” |
In this video that we prepared with joy and care, we celebrate the people behind the projects—the architects, designers, BIM professionals, learners, and knowledge-sharers who make the Graphisoft Community what it is.
