Dear Community Members,
More than 500 posts in 4 different languages are published on Community each week. Our forum topics are the most visited pages, supporting thousands of Archicad, BIMcloud, and BIMx users all around the world as an important guide facilitating professional journeys with our products. This is why we are happy to announce some of the recent improvements we have been working on to elevate your experience while browsing forum boards.
At the end of last year, we introduced the option to easily share your setup information with fellow members whenever you start a new topic on our “Installation & setup” board.
Based on the test period and feedback we received, we further improved and added the functionality to all of the relevant Community boards. Here’s a little introduction to this feature:
Select your Archicad version, add your operating system, and help your peers help you!
Thanks to all of you who tried this new feature and special thanks to everyone sharing feedback with us. In the upcoming months we will further improve this form to expand support to more products in the Graphisoft portfolio and to present a smooth experience for all of you.
Ever since Graphisoft Community started as the heir of Archicad Talk, there was a long-standing request to reduce the white space on the site and display as much content as possible. With your feedback in hand, we focused this month’s update on improving the forum topic page layout.
We removed the unnecessary information from the sidebar and replaced it with setup information.
We also repositioned the area around the message body to save as much of the whitespace as possible.
Do you feel the new layout could be even more spatially effective? Try our new compact message layout!
In the compact message layout, you’ll see even less distracting elements on the forum topic pages, putting the conversations into focus. Signatures are displayed in their full size if you hover your cursor over them and stay for a couple of seconds.
Some information deserves a highlight, so you can frequently find pinned posts all over the Forum. While these posts are always sorted on the top, it was hard to see the difference between the pinned posts and the regular posts.
Thank you, @Mats Knutsson, for bringing this up in ‘Our Community’! We encourage all of you to leave us feedback and ideas about the Community site, it is a critical driver in helping us improve your experience.
We hope that you’ll like the recent changes added to Graphisoft Community. Go and check them out!
Take care,
Your Graphisoft Community Team
